Christmas Lighting in London & Southwestern Ontario

Every November, thousands of Ontario homeowners wrestle with tangled strands, frozen gutters, and wobbly ladders — and every January they do it again in reverse. Master Decker's Christmas lighting service eliminates all of that. Our crews work across London, Woodstock, Brantford, Hamilton, and into the Greater Toronto Area, mounting commercial-grade C9 and mini LED strands along rooflines, wrapping trees, and hanging lighted wreaths on a schedule that works around your life. When the season ends, we take everything down, store it neatly, and have it ready for next year.

  • Commercial-grade C9 and mini LED strands with weather-sealed sockets
  • Roofline installation using gutter clips — no nails or staples
  • Tree wraps, shrub lighting, and lighted wreaths
  • Post-season take-down and organised off-season storage
  • Timed outlet setup and extension cord management
  • Annual rehang using your stored product (multi-year plans available)

Why christmas lighting matters in Ontario's climate

We source professional-grade product that isn't available at the big-box stores — thicker insulated wire, weather-sealed sockets rated for Ontario freeze-thaw cycles, and LEDs that hold their colour year over year rather than fading after a single season. Every installation is mapped before the first strand goes up, so the finished product looks deliberate and polished rather than stapled-on. Whether you want a modest roofline accent or a full-property display with illuminated trees and pathway lighting, our team handles the design, the install, and the pack-down.

Roofline & Architectural Lighting Done Right

Roofline lighting is where cheap strands fail fastest in Ontario's climate. A single freeze-thaw cycle can crack standard socket housings and cause strand outages that are nearly impossible to diagnose from the ground. Master Decker uses commercial C9 SPT-2 wire with individually replaceable bulb sockets, meaning one failed bulb doesn't darken an entire run. We clip every strand with gutter hooks sized to your fascia profile — no staples, no nails, nothing that damages your home.

For peaked rooflines and dormers, we use articulating extension ladders and follow fall-protection practices on any elevation above two storeys. Our London and Hamilton crews are experienced working on Victorian-era homes with steep pitches that defeat most DIY attempts. The result is a clean, even drape along every ridge and valley, lit uniformly from end to end — the kind of consistency that's hard to achieve without the right ladders, the right clips, and a plan drawn up before the first crew member sets foot on your property.

Tree Wraps, Wreaths & Landscape Accents

A roofline display gains depth when it's paired with illuminated trees, bushes, and entryway accents. Master Decker wraps deciduous and evergreen trees in warm-white or multi-colour mini LEDs, spiralling strands tightly enough to look intentional but loosely enough to allow the tree to flex without pulling connections. Large mature trees — the kind you'd find on older lots in Kitchener or St. Thomas — get low-voltage trunk lighting that draws the eye upward and adds dramatic shadow.

Lighted wreaths, garland swags, and window candles round out a full-property display. We work from a design sketch agreed upon before installation day, so you're not making on-the-spot decisions while we're on the ladder. Every component is commercial stock: heavy-duty wire frames, UV-stabilised faux greenery, and LED lamps that run cool enough to be safe on wood doors and vinyl siding. When the season ends, each piece is labelled, coiled properly, and stored in labelled bins — ready for next November with zero detective work.

Commercial & Multi-Family Holiday Lighting

Strip malls, office parks, condo complexes, and HOA communities throughout the GTA, Hamilton, and London rely on Master Decker to light common areas and building exteriors for the holiday season. Commercial accounts get a dedicated project lead, a documented lighting plan, and scheduled installation and removal windows that work around tenant and resident traffic. We're fully WSIB-covered and carry commercial liability insurance — requirements that most municipal property managers and strata corporations demand before any contractor sets foot on site.

Bulk orders of commercial-grade product mean our costs per linear foot are significantly lower than retail, and we pass a portion of those savings on to multi-year contract customers. A well-lit commercial property signals that a business is active and welcoming during the darkest months of the Ontario calendar — and the investment is often partially recoverable as a property maintenance expense. Contact us in September or October; December booking windows fill quickly across our service territory.

Common Questions

Christmas Lighting FAQs

When should I book Christmas lighting installation?

We recommend booking in September or October. Our November calendar fills quickly across London, Hamilton, and the GTA. Waiting until late November risks limited availability and delays getting product ordered to match your home's colour scheme.

Do I need to supply the lights?

No — we supply all commercial-grade product. If you already own strands you'd like us to use, we can inspect them and incorporate serviceable sets into the install at a reduced material cost. We'll advise honestly if your existing strands aren't up to an Ontario winter.

How do you handle take-down and storage?

We schedule a January take-down appointment, carefully remove all strands and accents, coil and label everything, and store it in bins we supply. The following November we retrieve your stored product and rehang it — no shopping, no untangling, no guesswork.

Are you able to work on commercial properties?

Yes. We're WSIB-covered and carry commercial general liability insurance. We service strip malls, office buildings, condo complexes, and HOA common areas throughout SW Ontario and the GTA. Multi-year commercial contracts are available.
